We will have a "barn duty" session this weekend for Pony Club. Because it's a long weekend and I expect that quite a few members will be away, we will combine both groups (older and younger) from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and we will be doing all the things that a horseowner has to do on a daily basis to care for the animals - the kids actually love doing barn chores, for the most part, and I can't stress enough the importance of teaching them the actual skills (cleaning stalls, etc.) but also the responsibility that goes along with owning horses. It's also part of our "giving back" belief - we roll up our sleeves and help out when we are needed.
As far as our Biosecurity practices - please note the following:
If you're looking for the Camp registration form, it's on our website, on the FORMS page - please make sure you get yours in as soon as possible. If your child is attending both camps, you only need to pay the deposit once. We are also looking for some fresh faces on our Fundraising Committee - if you've got a bit of time and energy to help, we would like to organize a fundraiser soon to help pay for things that will be happening this summer/fall. Many hands make light work!
