Hi all,
I’m headed to Ottawa this weekend (July 30 – August 4) because Caroline has a soccer tournament. This is a tough time to be away because it’s haying season…the forecast isn’t looking perfect to hay (HOT and SUNNY for 3 days) but if it is, I will have about 500 bales delivered to me. I usually get about 24 hours’ notice.
If you’re going to be around during that time period and would be able to help, can you let me know? The kids can help but this is something more suited to adults and strong teens. It doesn’t take long if you have a good crew. You would need to wear long pants, gloves and long shirts are good to prevent getting scratches from the hay. It’s hard work but it’s important to have food for the horses!
If you could please let me know if you’re able to help – and send me your cell number so I can text you in case Rocky, my hay guy, contacts me, I’d be eternally grateful.
Thank you if you can help!
